I’m glad you were my teacher.
I've come to love you so.
I can't believe the
end is here.
I hate to see you go.
Remember all the fun we had
in
all the things we did
But most of all I remember...
You made me feel like a very special
kid!
I remember our first day.
I walked in and said "Hello."
You said "Have a seat."
Then the bell rand and I had to go.
I will miss you in the coming year
when I move on to high school.
Yearning for our times back
But hey, I'm a freshman, COOL!

I Can't Write a Poem(POEM)
Forget it
You must be kidding
Mrs. Green my pencil broke and I can't fix it
I'm trying to but you wont let me explain
I fell asleep and lost the whole lesson
and now I feel like some hero in a cape
I started to writing but couldn't think of one
I can only spit sick nasty bars
I'm about to start writing, never mind
1 2 3 I'm done
I can't pay attention with all this commotion
and Karleigh keeps saying "Hey, look at my eyebrows!"
Time's up? Uh oh!
All I have is a dumb list of excuses.
You like it? Really? No kidding.
Thanks a lot. Would you like to see another one?

Who I Am(POEM)
I am the one who stays out all night and likes the quiet
I wonder about the things that others don't
I hear the crickets chirping tonight
I see the stars when I look up
I want to give them a hug
I am the one who stays out all night and likes the quiet
I pretend the stars are animals
I feel them shake the ground as they run by me in herds
I touch them as they pass me
I worry that they might run away
I cry because they leave at dawn
I am the one who stays out all night and likes the quiet
I understand they have to leave
I say "COME BACK" but they cant stay
I dream of seeing them tomorrow
I try calling their names but they are no where to be found
I hope to see them running back tonight
I am the one who stays out all night and likes the quiet
I wonder about the things that others don't
I hear the crickets chirping tonight
I see the stars when I look up

The transgender(transformer) bathroom problem
A big commotion of todays society is what bathroom a transgender should use. Some say they should use the bathroom according to what they are now, others say they should go to the one they were born as, and others say the government should make another bathroom. Deuteronomy 22:5 says "A woman must not wear men’s clothing, nor a man wear women’s clothing, for the Lord your God detests anyone who does this." Therefore, why are transformers in this world. God made you one way for you to be. He makes no mistakes.
Lets go the bathroom subject. For the ones that say they should go to the one they appear as now, look at it like this. Say a big bulky man that looks like a woman walks into a bathroom with you 6 year old daughter. You can't say that you or your daughter won't be scared. If it passes that way, I think there will be an increase of rape cases in the United States.
In my opinion, there should just be a men's, women's, and a transformer's bathroom. If that doesn't pass, they should go to the bathroom that they appeared on their birth certificate. There is going to be a huge uproar about this in the upcoming months when school districts have a meeting about this subject. For now, the government is at a stand still.

Football Poem
Hidden deep within this field
Sweat and hard work is stained
Fans screaming and yelling
Under the Friday night lights it rained
He runs down the sideline of the open field
Catching fans cheers as he goes
He crosses the line, touchdown
He does his touchdown dance with a good pose
Kickoff time
Both teams set up for the kick
10yd gain the go to pass
Run up catch, pick six!
On this team
Iron sharpens Iron
We sharpen one another
We are focused and wired
Coming down to the last seconds
They are down by one
We stopped the pass for the touchdown
The horn goes off, we won
Sweat and hard work is stained

Alphabet peom about the school years
Almost made it to freshman years
Bolting to class so we aren't tardy
Continue to keep the grades up
Don't get caught in the life of a party
Even though others bring you down
Faithful friends will pick you up
Getting to class freshman years
Hurry cant be late, speed up
Imagine us senior year
Just kidding that's too far
Keeping friends is a priority
Looking for colleges is like looking for star
Most don't take high school serious
Not us because were the best
Over achievers in this class
Put work before sports like another test
Quitting is NOT an option
Rising to take the challenge is
Settling down for sophomore year
Take a seat, it's just another quiz
Universities will be looking for applications
Valedictorians being picked first
Waiting to hear from colleges we want
eXaming goodbyes is the hardest, tears are starting to burst
Yearning for our high school friends and
Zooming back on vacations is in what we all trust

Where I'm From(POEM)
Where I Am From
I am from Sumter
where on the way to work
it's bumper to bumper
I am from Sumter
where you can't see at night,
where you look up at the stars
and see a great sight
I am from where Wisterias grow
and you go to town
to see everyone you know
I am from where military families come to stay
then in a few years
go away
I am from where everyone tries to rhyme
and families go hunting but only to kill time
I am from Sumter

My Awful Morning
This morning could have not gone any worse. Today was the day that I was running for student council secretary. I usually ride the bus and get to school late, so asked my dad if he could take me so I can get there early and tie other people's bowties and get ready. Unfortunately for me and the person in front of us on Keels Rd, we didn't get where we wanted when we wanted to.
Today is my parent's anniversary and they are going on a little trip. We got in the car to bring me to school. As soon as we turn onto Keels Rd, a huge buck jumps out and hits the car in front of us. She swerved and almost caused us to wreck behind her. We pull over to make sure she was okay. Her Ford Expedition was smoking because the buck hit her radiator. We pulled over to check on her and as soon as my dad and the woman got out she was pouring tears and in shock. We called her husband and a deputy. They just so happened to live in my neighborhood and on our street. Her husband got there with then 5 minutes. After her husband got there she had settled down and started talking to us.
After for talking to them and waiting 30 minutes for an officer to arrive, I found out that she works at Wilson Hall working with Kinder garden children and her husband is the women's varsity basketball coach. After explaining to them why I was dressed up they told my parents to take me to school so I could do my speech. Today was a frightening but chilled day.

Where Would I Live
Today I asked my teacher what our topic is today. He said " Blog about where you want to live. " That is by far the best topic he could have chosen. Where I want to live is pretty easy to find out if you know me. I would like to be a dentist when I get older. My uncle is a dentist also. He is a dentist in Burlington, North Carolina. If you can guess yet, I'm going to live in North Carolina. I would like to go to school at UNC but there out of state tuition is very high. As soon as I graduate college my uncle will be about ready to retire, and I can take over his position. His dentistry business in called Family Dentistry. He has offered me to stay at his house when I graduate until I find a house up there.
Living in North Carolina is a dream of mine since I have been a kid. I always look forward to seeing all of my dad's side of the family in Blanch, North Carolina. My grandparents have lived there their whole life. They lived on a road when they still had numbers for road names. They got to name that road, so they named it Dailey Rd. The Dailey Rd stretches about two miles long and at the end of it lives my grandparents and on the other side the road lives my other uncle and down the road about 600yards is my uncle's log cabin. He told me when I start working up there that I can buy the cabin from him. The cabin has over 300 acres of land with a food plot for turkey hunting. That's right up my ally because every animal I've killed, just about, has been up there.
This summer, I'm looking forward to visiting my family up there. I love waking up really early and going hunting because their land out there is stacked full of coons, deer, and turkeys. No one hunts up there except for my cousin Austin and he only coon hunts. I would love to live in North Carolina because of all the offers and great things I have up there

The Golf Trip
This past Saturday Cameron, Ava, and I went golfing at Crystal Lakes golf course. We were supposed to be there at 3:00pm and of course, I was late. I said that I was fashionable late but really I had to go by my dad's work to drop off tables that we used at our yard sale earlier that day. I went on the Crystal Lakes website to see how much it is to golf, it was $14.00. Since Cameron knew a lot of people at the golf course, it was only $3.00 for all 3 of us to play 9 holes.
We started out with a bucket of balls on the driving range. Cameron, as usual, hit every ball about 100yards, but then there was me. I hit a total of 3 balls on the range. The first one was shanked and the other 2 were maybe hit 10yards. Even Ava did better than I did. I asked Cameron why I sucked so bad and he said it was because I'm used to swinging a baseball bat. I asked him how that would affect my swing and he said your swinging high, like a bat, and picking up my shoulders and head when I swung. The second hole was awful, so when Cameron wasn't looking, I threw my ball on the green and he told me that was my best hit of the day, by me.
Walking to the sixth hole I found someone golf ball. I yelled at Cameron to tell him. Right when I said that I heard a big crash and thud. Cameron fell over a fallen tree branch with his golf bag on his back. It was the funniest thing in the world. After about 5 minutes of rolling on the floor laughing, Ava and I pulled ourselves together. We headed for the water because we were thirsty. Ava and I raced to it as a competition. From there on out when we saw water, we fought with it by throwing it on each other. Even though we were supposed to take it seriously, we had a lot of fun.

My best role model
One of my favorite role models is Demarco Murray. I look up to him so much. Demarco plays on the Philadelphia Eagles as a running back. He used to play for the Dallas Cowboys, and he was one of the best back then. The reason he isn't as good now as he was back then is because he works better with an I formation instead of T formation. Demarco Murray is one of my favorite role models because we share the same position in football and he never gives up on plays.
Like I said in the first paragraph, Demarco and I are both running backs. The only difference is that he plays for the National Football League and I play for SCISA. I admire him as a running back because his style and integrity. He never gives up on plays. If he can't get through the hole that the linemen make, he will make his own hole. I've seen him go completely around the linemen and score because he couldn't get through the hole.
These are the reason that I admire Demarco Murray. In my mind, he is very admirable and honorable. He never gives up!

Josh Norman's $24k deal
If you are a sports fanatic, you know that Josh Norman is a great cornerback for the Carolina Panthers. This past year, the Panthers made it to the Superbowl but lost to the Denver Broncos. After that season he left the Panthers for the Washington Redskins. Duke Ihenacho is apart of the redskins, he is number 24. Unfortunately, Josh Norman was number 24 for Carolina and he wanted to keep that number with the Redskins.
Josh Norman has always been number 24. He started asking if their was anything he could do to get his number from Duke Ihenacho. For a little bit, Duke said that he was keeping his number and not trading. Josh got the idea to pay for his jersey. Coincidentally, he paid Duke twenty four thousand dollars just so he could play as number 24. Duke is now number 29 and twenty four thousand dollars wealthier.
Over my 14 years of watching NFL football, I have seen many stupid trades and deals. This deal is by far one of the stupidest, in my opinion. They both are now on the same page with the number deal and plan on playing side by side in the upcoming year

The Lokai bracelets
One of the most popular trends nowadays are the new Lokai bracelets. Lokai bracelets come in all sorts of colors including clear, green, pink, blue, purple, red, orange, camo, and rainbow. These bracelets have 1 white circle and 1 black circle. The white one has snow from Mount Everest for the highs in your life. The black one has mud from the Dead Sea for your lows in your life. There has been stories and videos of people cutting them open and there being nothing inside. Some people said that they got the knock off brand of it and others say it was and it's a fake.
I decided to test this theory the other day. I bought a blue one for $20 plus tax the other day. I got home set up a camera and cut it open. I cut the white one first. There was nothing in that one. I thought that it might have evaporated. Then I cut the black one. There was nothing in that one either. I was so disappointed. Maybe the one I bought was a knock off.
These bracelets are a huge disappointment. I do have to admit, they do look very neat and I will get another one, but they actually have absolutely nothing in them. So don't invest in one if you want it for they stuff inside. Buy strictly for looks if anything.

NCAA best running back Dalvin Cook (FSU)
In the up coming season of college football, Florida State University has a returning junior Dalvin Cook. Dalvin Cook is one of the best running backs in NCAA history. Last year he was eligible for the Heisman Trophy as a junior. Everyone thought that he was going to go to the NFL but changed his mind and decided to finish college as a Seminole.
Dalvin Cook has an amazing running game. Last year he rushed a total of 1691 yards with an average run of 7.4 yards a play. He also had 19 rushing touchdowns with 1 receiving touchdown. When he was a sophomore he rushed 1008 yards total with an average of 5.9 yards a play. That year he had 8 rushing touchdowns with no receiving touchdowns. A total of his two years playing for Florida State, he has 2169 rushing yards and 28 touchdowns. Over the time of two years he has scored 168 points.
Florida State University has a lot of surprises in the upcoming season like looking to recruit some more receivers and looking for a good running and passing quarter back. This upcoming year will be Dalvin Cook's last year at FSU but I am more than 100% sure that he is going to the NFL because he almost went this past year. If he stays on the right track and doesn't do anything he will probably get a first round draft if he goes to the NFL. Hopefully he does go and I plan on seeing him there but for now, he is the best running back in the NCAA

The ups and downs of having curly hair
If you know me, you know that I have really curly hair. Sometimes, it can get on your nerves but other times you wish it was curlier. Curly hair is sort of rare to be born with. Most people are born with straight hair then grow curly hair. Studies show that only 15% of the population of America have curly hair. I just so happen to be one.
Having curly hair has many advantages. One advantage is at any point in the day, if you choose, you can poof your hair up and get an afro. Another advantage of having curly hair is it feels really good. At most schools, your hair can't go down past your eye brows. Well, with curly hair you can have it as long as you want it and it will never pass your eye brows, if anything, it will just get taller. Curly hair is very entertaining. When you wake up, you can design it however you wish.
If there is anything great, it has to have its down falls. A bad thing about having curly hair and you want to comb it into a part or something, it takes about 20 minutes to get it ready to brush it. It is awful trying to get ready in a rush. Another downfall curly hair takes so long to dry. You can use a towel, hair dryer or anything, curly hair takes the longest time to dry. Even though curly hair is annoying sometimes, most people love and look good wearing it.

The Draft (from the Cowboys POV)

Last night was the 2016 NFL draft. My team, the Dallas Cowboys, did pretty awful last year so they had the fourth overall pick. Their Offense is pretty descent, if Tony Romo isn't hurt. The defense, on the other hand is good with the line and linebackers, but the defensive backs aren't all that talented and they all have one year left on their contract until they'll hit the road. Jalen Ramsey, of the Florida State University, is a very talented player and one of the best in the nation.
On Dallas's offense, we have pretty good running backs. Needless to say, we don't need anymore. The Cowboys chose Ezekiel Elliot for their first round pick. That left Jalen Ramsey out to dry. Jalen was picking by the fifth team, the Jaguars. Now one of the best players go to the worst team, great. We have Eze now. Now I do have to say Eze is a phenomenal player. He too is one of the best running backs in the nation behind Derek Henry and Dalvin Cook. Dalvin Cook is also from FSU. Eze is now part of the Dallas Cowboys and I wish he does good, but tonight, Dallas needs to chose a defensive back for their second round choice.
Ezekiel Elliot is a man of steel, I do have to say. Last night he wore his tux the same way he wears his jersey, with the bottom half tucked up.
He's a very talented player and I'm glad he was picked but we honestly don't need anymore running back but we made a good choice.

Should students be allowed to have phones during the school day
The idea of having a phone, in a students perspective, sounds great, but the real reason students would be allowed to have them is for research during school or emergencies. Lets look at this idea from a teachers perspective. Teachers would have to be on their A game watching out for suspicious things a clever student might do with his/ her phone. Say that there is a test in the morning and the teacher needs to go get something and leaves the room, with the test and children in it. Say a student walks up and takes a picture of that test. That student now has control over what is on that test and who he/she sends it to. Teachers have no way of preventing that from happening.
Teachers can't always be at the same spot, at the same time, on the same day if a student decides to do something tricky with his/ her phone. In the students shoes, we think it might be a great idea to do something like attempting to cheat on something. If students were allowed to have their phones in school, the phone would ONLY act as a source to search and look up much needed things during the school day.
Most of the time, young students don't see the danger or consequences they could have if they make a wrong decision one time and get caught. Don't get me wrong, most students do make good even great decisions all the time, but that second they decide to do something wrong, they don't realize how much things can be taken away from them. Going back to my topic yesterday, Teachers are here to help you not harm you.

The responsiblity of student teacher relationship in a classroom
Responsibility is being accountable for ones doing or having control over a particular thing. Students now a days blame teachers for the students not learning the topic or subject. That student could be talking or distracted and not get the lesson. But if the student is focused, he/ she will understand the lesson more. On the other hand, if the student is 100% focused and still doesn't understand the curriculum, he/ she then has a reason to question the teacher on the studied topic.
Students get to caught up in if they like the teacher or not instead of worrying about things that matter like making good grades. Students need to take responsibility in the student teacher relationship in class, not out of it. A student has no right to diss a teacher because he/ she doesn't like the teacher or what the teacher teaches.
Most of the time students take things too far such as getting a question wrong, when that student could be taking the time to learn about other things about it or looking in the book and checking the right answer. Being a student comes with responsibility such as knowing when to stop, taking classes seriously. A student could be in the easiest class in the world but if he/ she doesn't pay attention or do what's right they will fail out. Often, students get too caught up in other things instead what is
most important. Students need to learn from their mistakes. If something bad happens in a particular class, the student doesn't need to gripe about it all day and say rude or disrespectful things about the teacher. Teachers are hired to help you, not harm you. Your parents send you to school every day to get a good education, not to see a teacher and go complain to the principle because the teacher isn't good enough. Students need to learn when the limit is with a relationship between a teacher and a student.
Students get to caught up in if they like the teacher or not instead of worrying about things that matter like making good grades. Students need to take responsibility in the student teacher relationship in class, not out of it. A student has no right to diss a teacher because he/ she doesn't like the teacher or what the teacher teaches.

MY PERMIT
Today was the day that I took my driving test. My mom came and got me out of school so I could go to the DMV. I got out to get in the car I would be driving and I saw who would be grading me while I drove, the one and only, Mrs. Jones. She greeted me and we got in the car. As soon as we sat down she started marking on her clipboard. I knew it wasn't going to be good with her. After we got back to the DMV, I actually did really good. I only missed one thing and that was getting in the wrong lane when I turn onto another four lane road. She actually said that she tried to pass me with a good grade since I'm such a good student. I went inside, took my picture, and drove home. Today was amazing!!!!!

Our first game
Today I got out of class an hour early for our first football game at 5:00 p.m. in Myrtle Beach South Carolina. On the way there, I was feeli9ng so bad. I starting getting nervous and jittery about my first game as a starting running back. We pulled up at the school, got off the bus and saw their team. They were huge! Coach Moore, my running back coach, reassured me that it is harder for big men to tackle little people like me. Justin went out to receive for us, along with the rest of the team. He got a 25 yard gain. Justin is the running back on the other side of the quarter back. The first play called was wing right 22 trap. Which means I'm running the ball straight up the middle. We get down and ready. I hear HUT! I get the ball and wait for the gap to open up and I take off. I juked out the linebacker and I was in open field. "TOUCHDOWN SUMTER HIGH," yells the announcer. From there on out I had a good game. We came out with a win, 35-13. On the way back home, we were partying on the bus for our first victory. Last night was amazing!!!!!!!

The Substitute
After first block and to second block, Thomas and I recognized that we could hear Mr. Myers loud but deep voice. We heard a higher and more quite one. We walked in and noticed we had the dreaded substitute, Mrs. Jones. She is an awful substitute. One time I was sitting in the class and I sneezed and she gave me detention for not asking to sneeze. So all of the students quietly walked to their own desk hanging their heads low so she couldn't say something about us. The bell rang just as Jared, one of the jocks, was walking in. She walked him to the office for being late and wrote him up for sagging and not wearing a belt. The first part of the class started off terrible, she kept calling students down for stupid things like sliding your chair on the floor too loud. I was, with the rest of the class, so relieved when that bell rang at 12:30 p.m. which means it's time to go to lunch. The horror didn't stop yet. It turned out that she was to supervise us in the cafeteria. We are usually one of the loudest tables, but today the cafeteria was dead silent. I mean, you could hear a pen drop.
I was glad when school was over and I got to go to football practice and get away from Mrs. Jones. I decided to join the team since we won the state championship last year against our rival school. They put me at starting running back since JT is out for the season. It took me a couple days to learn the plays but now I'm running all the plays with the team. That's what happened today trying to survive the substitute.

The PE class
So today in PE, it started off with the two knuckle heads, Ron and Jarson, running through the gym with only compression shorts on. That's not a sight you want to see. Once a couple a Seniors walked through and got their eyes gouged out, Mr. Doore walked in and scolded them for doing such an awful thing. Unfortunately, they spent the rest of the day in the principle's off being mentored on what the consequences would be and why they did what they did. Once we got past that part of class we finally got warmed up and started to play football until Philip, the freshman, broke his wrist trying to dive for a ball. When he got up, his arm made an L shape because of how bad the break was. We had to call an Ambulance to come get him. After school we went and visited him and brought him flowers, candy, and balloons. He really appreciated to gifts but then informed us that he was leaving the hospital as soon as he was able to get up and grab his things. So that's what exhilarating things happened in my PE class today.

My First Day Back from Summer
Monday, September 1, 2013
Today was my first day back to Sumter High School. I'm not old enough to drive yet, so I have to ride the bus to October when I get my restricted. As of now, I only have my learners. When I arrived hardly any girls were at school. They were all with JT. Over the weekend JT, one of the cool kids was hit by a car while he was crossing a road and he is now in ICU. Thomas, my best friend, and I walked to first block together, when we got their we noticed every one was gone to see JT. We left for home since first block was cancelled and were suddenly stop by Mrs. Claus, the awful principle, gave us detention for trying to play hookie when all we were doing is trying to leave. We spent the rest of the day in her office doing our homework that we didn't finish from the night before. I got home and my parents met me at the door, I knew something was wrong. My parents asked me why Mrs. Clause gave them a call. I had to explain the whole story all over again. After hearing about what happened my parents were way more understanding about what happened. For supper, my mother cooked a delicious peanut butter and jelly sandwich because she hates to cook. The past couple nights I haven't been able to fall asleep, so I took a couple of melatonins to force me to sleep. That's all that happened on my first day back to tenth grade at Sumter High School.
