After first block and to second block, Thomas and I recognized that we could hear Mr. Myers loud but deep voice. We heard a higher and more quite one. We walked in and noticed we had the dreaded substitute, Mrs. Jones. She is an awful substitute. One time I was sitting in the class and I sneezed and she gave me detention for not asking to sneeze. So all of the students quietly walked to their own desk hanging their heads low so she couldn't say something about us. The bell rang just as Jared, one of the jocks, was walking in. She walked him to the office for being late and wrote him up for sagging and not wearing a belt. The first part of the class started off terrible, she kept calling students down for stupid things like sliding your chair on the floor too loud. I was, with the rest of the class, so relieved when that bell rang at 12:30 p.m. which means it's time to go to lunch. The horror didn't stop yet. It turned out that she was to supervise us in the cafeteria. We are usually one of the loudest tables, but today the cafeteria was dead silent. I mean, you could hear a pen drop.
I was glad when school was over and I got to go to football practice and get away from Mrs. Jones. I decided to join the team since we won the state championship last year against our rival school. They put me at starting running back since JT is out for the season. It took me a couple days to learn the plays but now I'm running all the plays with the team. That's what happened today trying to survive the substitute.
